the-foyer/_chapter 1..._ EDGE OF DARKNESS...
Hahhhhhh!!!!! I had that dream again! Waking up sweating, panting and gasping for air. Breaking out in a cold sweat. I tried getting some rest again, but was unable to get back to sleep. The whole day went by as a complete waste of time. Hoping that I could fall asleep again. ‘Complete waste of time!’ Had to wait until the night would come again. Luckily today was a day off!

Hahhhhhh!!!!! I had that dream again! I died in my dream! But I’m thankful that I’m still alive. Waking up sweating, panting and gasping for air. Breaking out in a cold sweat. But I managed to get back to sleep again. Then I had the second dream! A wolf was eating me. I could feel the breath of the wolf inside of my ripped open body as the wolf was feasting on my flesh. But the start of the dream I was walking through a dark tunnel. Where was I? The surroundings were so different to the real world.
But I love to sleep. Sleeping takes me away from the pain of reality! This was after I was a kid!
Being back at school at the age of eight, until the age of ten. Probably back in grade school. Around Grade three to four, but very rarely Grade five’s as they begin to mature a little bit more then a Grade four kid. You can remember always trying to fit into the school with the cool kids that are the fastest runners in class and can never be caught during a game of ‘tiggy’ but unfortunately for them they are no good at anything else other then to ‘bully and pester’ the weaker ones, yet the smarter ones such as yourself.
Mr. Riddles was my teachers’ name. Even though I don’t like to mention any names. We’ll keep this name as a ‘make-belief’ name. Just for the sake of ‘the foyer.’ My primary school had a foyer. One I will never forget. All the kids believe in those stories so deeply. Yet they all make out that nobody really cares and it’s just a story.
Until one day you are dragged into it with no will of your own of being able to control it. Yes the urge of wanting to be the bravest in the class. ‘The classrooms hero.’ Even though you are the best behaved. Maybe even the teacher’s pet, as some would say it.
You cannot control your own ego to be above the other students. Yes it’s peer group pressure.
The question I’ve asked myself a number of times as I grew up. Was how much further can you go until you are no longer what you truly were before this all began?
The harder you push. The harder ‘the foyer’ pushes you back!
